On October 11, 2013, a delegation from the China Tibet Research Center, Beijing, visited the IOM RAS.  It was headed by Prof Dr Zhou Wei, en expert in Tibetan linguistics, and included also Prof Dr Feng Zhi, a historian, Prof Dr Li Jianxiong, an expert in Tibetan arts; Dr Lama Ala, an expert in Tibetan medicine; Mr Xiao Jie, a doctoral student in modern politics, and Mr Yan Guohua, the deputy director of the staff office. 

The IOM Director Prof. Dr Irina Popova accepted the guests at her office. They were also shown the Institute including the constant exhibition of mss and the Tibetan library (it was organized by Dr A. Zorin).
