This is a collection of papers presented at the Sixth International Conference organized by the Institute of History and Ethnology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the National Museum of Mongolia "Chinggis Khaan" and the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which was held in Ulaanbaatar on April 19-21, 2023.

The conference was based on manuscript collections and archives storing documents and materials on history, culture, ethnography, politics and language of the Mongolian peoples.

This collection contains papers on the history of Mongolian studies, as well as papers on handwritten materials relating to Mongolian culture, written heritage, artistic creativity, expeditions and various issues of traditional and modern Mongolian society.
