Education
1948-1953 - Leningrad State University, the Department of Law.
PhD Dissertation
Neo-Assyryan State and Law. Defended in the Oriental Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Soviet Union (Moscow, 1967).
Habilitation Dissertation (in history):
The Laws of Hammurapy as a source for the History of the Old Babylonian Period. Defended in the Leningrad Branch of the Oriental Institute (1989).
Academic Positions:
1961-1964 - aspirant in Leningrad Branch of the Oriental Institute.
From 1964 up to 2015 - assistant, junior researcher, senior rearcher, leading researcher at the same Institute.
Teaching experience:
various programs on the Oriental History, Culture and Languages at St Petersburg University and several other institutions.
Major Research Interests:
History, History of State and Law, Cultural Relations, Mesopotamian Poetry (translations).

Accadian, Sumerian, English, German, French.
