Was born in Leningrad on April 14, 1978.
Study:
05.1994 finished High School (literature specialized class).
08.1994-06.1995 studied in the senior class at the Melrose-Mindoro High School in the USA.
09.1995-06.2000 studied at the Bachelor’s course at the Faculty of Oriental and African Studies, Saint Petersburg State University (Department of Philology of China, Korea and South-East Asia) which finished with Honors diploma. Major: Korean Philology Bachelor’s thesis was prepared on the works on Contemporary Korean Poet Jeong Hyeon-jong under the tutorship of Dr. Marianna I. Nikitina.
08.1997-06.1998 attended Korean Language Institute at Yonsei University as an Exchange student.
06.2000-06.2002 studied at the Master’s course at Faculty of Oriental and African Studies, Saint Petersburg State University (Department of Philology of China, Korea and South-East Asia) which finished with Honors diploma. Major: Korean Literature. Master’s thesis was prepared on the gasa literature under the tutorship of Dr. Gennady Ye. Rachkov (Saint Petersburg State University).
06.2000-12.2000 under the Korea Foundation scholarship finished Korean Language Institute at Yonsei University (all 6 levels).
11.2002-11.2006 attended the Ph.D. course at Saint Petersburg branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences. The research topic is “«Namhun Taepyeong-ga» («Songs of the Great Peace at South Wind») – a Block-print from the Manuscript Collection of Saint Petersburg Branch of the Institute for Oriental Studies, RAoS”. The tutor is Dr. Adelaida F. Trotsevich.
08-09.2004 by the invitation of the Korean National Academy of the Korean Language attended the Internship for Teachers of the Korean Teachers Abroad.
06.-09.2006 – under the Korea Foundation scholarship participated in the Fellowship for the Field Research in the Republic of Korea.
Work:
From 2001, was an assistant researcher at Saint Petersburg branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences.
From February 2003 up to present, lecturer at the Faculty of Oriental and African Studies, Saint Petersburg State University (Department of Philology of China, Korea and South-East Asia). Teaching the courses: “History of Korean Traditional Literature”, “Modern Korean Literature”, “Korean as a 2nd Oriental Language”, “Korean Literature Text”, “Korean Specialized Text”, “Spoken Korean”.
Research sphere: Korean literature, namely Korean traditional poetry in vernacular. Research topic: “Poetical Anthology «Namhun Taepyeong-ga» («Songs of the Great Peace at South Wind») – a Block-print from the Manuscript Collection of Saint Petersburg Branch of the Institute for Oriental Studies, RAoS”.
Since 2003 together with Dr. Adelaida F. Trotsevich has been working on the Description of Korean Manuscripts and Block-prints in keeping of Saint Petersburg Libraries (the Library of the Faculty of Oriental and African Studies, Saint Petersburg State University, and the Manuscript collection of Saint Petersburg branch of the Institute for Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences).
Member of the Center for Korean Language and Culture (Faculty of Oriental Studies, SPSU).
Member of AKSE (Association of Korean Studies in Europe) since April, 2003.

-Annual sessions of Saint Petersburg branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences;
