On 19 October 2021 (Tuesday), the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts (Asiatic Museum) and Saint Petersburg Datsan Gunzechoinei will hold a roundtable meeting “Buddhism in Contemporary Russia”. This event will take place ahead of the World Conference on Interreligious and Interethnic Dialogue, 2022.

Key discussion topics are: current state of Buddhist education in Russia, institutionalization of Russian Buddhism, cultural heritage, research.

The roundtable, chaired by Buda B. Badmaev, will be held in the Green Hall of the IOM RAS.

Registration is open from 10 to 11 am. Two sessions are planned: 11am to 12:30 and 13:15 to 16pm.
