Prof Dr Igor V. Bazilenko, the leading researcher at the Department of Manuscripts and Documents, IOM RAS, receieved a certificate of merit at the Russian Competition for the Best Academic Book 2011, the section of Humanities and Social Studies, held by the Foundation for Development of Russian Education among the university teachers and researchers, for the book Historiography, Religious Studies and Culturology of the Orient [Историография, религиоведение и культурология Востока]. The awards ceremony took place in Sochi, on September 14, 2012.
