On September 6, 2006, a representative delegation of the participants of the 6th Session of Russian Arabic Business Council that was held in St Petersburg for the first time, visited the St Petersburg Branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies, RAS. Among the guests of the Institite there were the Ambassador of Egypt in Russia, Ezzat Saad, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdul Hamid Ali Hassan, and other officials and businessmen. An exhibition of Arabic mss kept at the Institute and publications of the Institute's experts in Arabic and Islamic studies was prepared for the respected guests. Moreover, a colored pamphlet adorned with photos of some early Arabic texts and later illustrated mss was issued.
