In the end of 1980th a group of scholars from St. Petersburg
Branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies (Russian
Academy of Sciences) started realization of the “Asiatic
Museum” project. The goal was to produce the database
on the manuscripts preserved in the collection of the
St. Petersburg Branch of the Institute as a step towards the
creation of the hierarchy of expert systems on different
kinds of Oriental manuscripts...
