The present book contains an edition of the Pazend manuscript, i.e., the transcription of the Pahlavi manuscript into Avestan characters that was acquired by the Asiatic Museum, in St Petersburg (currently the IOM), from the legace of Dr E.W.West in 1906. The MS was written in Navsari by the ervad Shahpur, son of the dastur Sharrabji, in 1243 AY (anno Yazderigd), which corresponds to 1873 CE. Though the handwriting of the MS is neat and fine (the ‘Indian hand’), it is written in a very illiterate manner…
