On May 21, 2026, this year’s general meeting and an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding scientific achievements took place in the Main building of the Saint Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Mark Alvievich Kozintcev, Candidate of Sciences in History, Researcher at the Department of Central Asian and South Asian Studies, IOM, RAS, received the Grand Duke K.K. Romanov Young Scholars Award in the Humanities “for developing the traditions of Russian Ottoman Studies and publishing new historical sources”. Academician A.I. Rudskoy, Chairperson of the Saint Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, presented the award's diploma and the laureate’s medal.
