Chief conservation specialist of the IOM RAS, Liubov I. Kriakina, will demonstrate various kinds of paper books explaining their features. Most books are from the IOM RAS collection. The lecture will be followed by a master class on “butterfly binding” (hudie zhuang). We invite students and everyone interested in Chinese book culture.
