Diakonoff Readings will be held on April 4–5, 2023, at the State Hermitage and the IOM RAS in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Themes of the conference (reflecting research interests of Igor M. Diakonoff, 1915–1999): a wide range of issues related to research on Mesopotamia and the Ancient Near East:

- political and socio-economic history;
- literature;
- religion;
- language and writing;
- archaeology.
