On November 20, 2004, Wang Meng, the live classic of  Chinese literature, visited the St Petersburg Branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies, RAS. He was recieved by the Institute's researchers and doctoral students, and observed the exhibition of the mss kept at the Institute. The event was attended also by some representatives of St Petersburg State University, and the Consul General of China in St Petersburg, Mr Li Huilai.
