On September 30, 2005, Dr A.L.Khosroyev was given the 2nd class Makarievskaya Award for his book Pachomius the Great. From the History of Cenobitic Monkhood in Egypt [Пахомий Великий. Из истории общежительного монашества в Египте]. St Petersburg, Nestor-istoriya Publishers 2004, the section of the History of Orthodox Christian Countries and Peoples (the award is granted by the Russian Orthodox Church, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Government of Moscow).
