This book is a collection of supplementary materials for five textbooks of handwritten Japanese that were published in the USSR between 1946 and 1971. It contains Japanese texts (transliteration of handwriting), translations into Russian and lexical commentaries. The book does not replace the five textbooks, but provides additional resources (similar to an answer key) that make learning process easier and faster.
The book is primarily aimed at scholars and advanced students in the fields of Japanese and East Asian studies. Materials presented in the book may also be useful to a broader readership interested in calligraphy, USSR-Japan relations, and the history of Japanese studies. PDF-files
