Anthony Eduardovich
Terekhov

Researcher at the IOM RAS
Born on January 14, 1986, in Kuibyshev (now Samara).

In 2003–2009, studied at the Department of the Oriental Philosophy and Culture, the Faculty of Philosophy, St. Petersburg State University, in 2009–2013 – at the PhD program of the IOM RAS (supervised by Dr. Yu. L. Kroll).

From February 2014 up to present, works at the Department of Far Eastern Studies of the IOM RAS. Also teaching at the Department of the Oriental Philosophy and Culture, Institute of Philosophy, St. Petersburg State University, and at the Department of International Relations, Institute of International Educational Programs, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University.

In 2007–2008, attended language training at Beijing Language and Culture University. In 2010–2011 was a visiting researcher at the School of History, Beijing Normal University.

Member of the European Association for Chinese Studies (EACS), took part in its meetings held in France (Paris, 2012) and Portugal (Braga and Coimbra, 2014), as well as in the XXXIIth “Deutschen Orientalistentag” in Germany (Muenster, 2013).

Fields of interest: Ancient Chinese manuscripts, history, thought, political ideology, religion, culture, mythology and mantic traditions.

The 10th All-Russian Conference of Young Orientalists “China and Its Neighbours” jointly organized by the IOM RAS, the Faculty of Asian and African Studies (Saint Petersburg University) and the Confucius Institute (at Saint Petersburg University) will be held on March 6–7, 2025. The conference program is now available.
