Semyon Yuryevich
Ryzhenkov

Born on May 16, 1987 in Leningrad.

In 2011, graduated from Saint Petersburg State University, the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Philosophy and Culture of the Orient.

In the same year was admitted to the Department of Far Eastern Studies of the IOM RAS as a doctoral student.

From 2015 up to 2018 - a junior researcher at the IOM RAS.

Major research interests: history of Chinese Buddhism and Dunhuang Studies.

On October 3–4, 2023 the IOM RAS will hold the “Ancient Oriental Studies” Conference dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Yuriy Y. Perepyolkin (1903–1982), the 95th anniversary of Muhammad A. Dandamayev (1928–2017), and the 90th anniversary of Oleg D. Berlev (1933–2000). The program of the conference is now available.
