Evdokimova

Born on July 12, 1954, in Leningrad.

In 1977, graduated from Leningrad State University, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Mongolian Philology. In 1976 and 1977, took training courses at the State Mongolian University, the Philological Faculty.

In 1978-1981, took doctoral course at the Leningrad Branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies (now IOM RAS).

From 1982 till 2015, a researcher at the IOM RAS, the Department of Turkic and Mongolian Studies / Department of Central Asian Studies.

Major research interests: Medieaval Mongolian literature, textology; Indo-Tibetan-Mongolian-Oirat-Buryat literary relations; the history of Mongolian studies in Russia and the USSR; Russian explorations of Central Asia.

Works also at St Petersburg State University, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Mongolian and Tibetan Studies.

Took part in a number of domestic and international conferences such as PIAC, Weimar, Germany 1988, St Petersburg, Russia 2010; seminars at SOAS, Rossi & Rossi Gallery, Serindia Publishers, London 1991, 1992, 2001, 2003; the 37th ICANAS, Moscow 2004; annual academic sessions at the IOM, etc.

In August 2006, was awarded by Honoured Medal for the 800th Anniversary of Great Mongolian State in order of the President of Mongolia.
