Born in the qishlaq of Kibrai, near to Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Graduated from St Petersburg State University, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Studes, the Section of the History of Afghanistan.
In 2004, defended the PhD Dissertation, The treatise of Muhammad Hayat Khan “Hayat-i afghani” (“Life of the Afghans”) as a Source on the History and Ethnography of Afghanistan [Сочинение Мухаммада Хайат-хана “Хайат-и афгани” (“Жизнь афганцев”) как источник по истории и этнографии Афганистана].
From 2005 up to 2009, a researcher at the Department of Middle Eastern Studies, from 2007 up to 2013, the curator of the doctoral programs of the IOM, from 2009 up to 2016, the academic secretary of the IOM.
Major research interests: the history and sources on the history of Afghanistan and Persia.
