On December 18, 2019, the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Chechnya, Chairman of the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus, Sheikh Salakh Mezhiev, visited the IOM, RAS. The distinguished guest was met by the Director of the IOM, RAS, Irina F. Popova, and Head of Academic Research, Stanislav M. Prozorov.
A memorandum of mutual collaboration was signed between the IOM, RAS, and Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Chechnya.
