Indian delegation visit to the IOM RAS |

On April 25, 2018, an Indian delegation headed by the President of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), member of Parliament of India Mr. Vinay Prabhakar Sahasrabuddhe, and Consul General of India in S. Petersburg Mr. Deepak Miglani, visited the IOM RAS.
The delegation was accepted by the IOM RAS Director Irina F. Popova and shown to the temporary exhibition of the manuscripts from the Indian and Serindic collections kept in the institute. The honored guests paid a special attention to the St. Petersburg Muraqqa, album of Indian and Persian Miniatures from the 16th through the 18th Century and Specimens of Persian Calligraphy, inscribed in the UNESCO's ‘Memory of the World’, and unique manuscript of Gandhara Dharmapada dating from the 1-2 cc.
