On November 26, 2017, at Ropshinckaya Ul., 23, St. Petersburg, the memorial sign ‘Last address’ dedicated to Alexander Nikolaevich Samoylovich, an eminent Turkologist, member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Rector of the Leningrad Oriental Institute and Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1934—1937), one of the numerous victims of the Stalinist oppressions, was installed.

His grand-daughter, Marina P. Samoylovich, PhD, leading researcher of the Russian Scientific center of radiology and surgical technologies, and great-grandchildren Alexander and Boris participated in the ceremony.
