Seminar on Russia and Ismaili Muslims, London Print E-mail

On November 5, 2012, at the Institute of Ismaili Studies, IIS, London, the Seminar, Russia and Ismaili Muslims: Over a Century of Learning, dedicated to the contribution of Russian scholars to the study of Pamir and Ismailis was held.

On November 5, 2012, at the Institute of Ismaili Studies, IIS, London, the Seminar, Russia and Ismaili Muslims: Over a Century of Learning, dedicated to the contribution of Russian scholars to the study of Pamir and Ismailis was held. Three Russian scholars took part in the seminar such as Dr Davlat Khudonazarov, the N.N.Miklukho-Maklay Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, RAS, Moscow, Prof Dr Andrey Smirnov, the Institute of Philosophy, RAS, Moscow, and Dr Stanislav Prozorov, the Deputy Director of the IOM.

On November 6, at the Ismaili Center a welcome reception was organized for the guests of the seminar and some officials. The guests observed the special exhibition of photographs, documents, letters, publications related to the academic activities of Russian scholars in Pamir.
