On November 30, 2011, the meeting of the academic seminar Text in the Cultures of the Orient was held by the Council of Young Scholars at the IOM RAS. The issue of the meeting was Methodology of the Study of Texts of Eastern Literatures.

Four young scholars presented their short accounts such as Dr V.P. Ivanov (Methods of Translation of Sanskrit Sources), Dr V.V. Shchepkin (Briefly on Methods of the Study of Texts), Dr D.A. Nosov (Methodology of Research into Oriental Texts such as Structural-Typological Analysis of Mongolian, Buryat and Kalmyk Fairy Tales),  Dr A.V. Zorin (On Methodology of the Study of Buddhist Hymns). Dr S.Kh. Shomakhmadov took part in the discussion. Abstracts of the accounts are available on the Russian version of the IOM's web page.
