On February 27, 2012, at the first meeting of the Near Eastern Seminar organized by the Section of Near Eastern Studies of the IOM RAS, Nobuko Morishita, Ph.D. Candidate of the University of Tokyo, submitted her presentation, Useful tips for finding Arabic and Persian manuscripts in different countries.

At the moment, Ms Morishita works as an associate researcher at the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts under the project The Diffusion of Religious Traditions from Late Antiquity to The Early Islamic Period in The Arabic and Persian Manuscripts of The Russian Federation.

The seminar was attended by the guests from St Petersburg State University, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, as well as IOM's researchers and doctoral students.

In her presentation, Nobuko Morishita shared some useful facts on academic libraries of Turkey, Iran, India, Morocco, Egypt and other countries she worked at during her recent six-year study. The presentation is well-systemized and can serve as a good guide for the scholars interested in Arabic and Persian mss.
