On Jule 28, 2011, the delegation from the Republic of Iraq headed by the Minister of Highest Education & Scientific Research Ali Muhammad al-Adeeb visited the IOM RAS.

The distinguished guests were shown the Museum of Oriental Studies, constant exhibition of mss kept at the IOM RAS and a special exhibition of Arabic mss.

The guests thanked the IOM's staff for hospitality and expressed their wish to revive and promote academic and cultural contacts between academic and educational institutions of the Republic of Iraq and St Petersburg.
