On May 31, 2011, a large delegation of businessmen from the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, headed by the chairman of the General Council for Islamic Banks, Shaikh Salih Abdallah Kamel, visited the IOM RAS. The delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Moscow, Mr Ali Hassan Jaafar. The IOM's head, Prof Dr I.F. Popova met the delegation and told them in English about the history of the Institute and its collection of Oriental texts. The Deputy Director of the IOM RAS, Dr S.M. Prozorov presented in Arabic the collection of Arabic mss kept at the Institute. A special exhibition of the most remarkable mss was prepared for the guests, too. PHOTOS Waiting for the guests.
