On December 1, 2003, a representative delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Kazem Mousavi-Bojnourdi, the Chief State Councilor and the Director General of the National Library of Iran, headed the St Petersburg Branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies, RAS. The delegation observed the exhibition of mss kept at the Institute and expressed their willingness to cooperate with Russian scholars, especially experts in Islamic studies.
