A short reference on the religion of Ahl-e Haqq: Historically, the Doctrine of Ahl-e Haqq appeared in the 14th century as an ultra-Shiite sect with distinct ethnical identity. By early 20th century it was followed by the Kurds who lived in the mountainous areas of Iraq and Iran. About a century ago one, of the branches of Ahl-e Haqq was transformed into an independent religion, with the belief in One God, elaborate religious ideology different from that of Islam, own Sacred Scriptures, Saints, holy places of pilgrimage and ritual cult practice. By now, the religion of Ahl-e Haqq has transcended ethnical and geographical limits. |
