On May 5, 2008 at the meeting of the Academic Council Dr R. Krapivina gave a report entitled The Treatise "Abhisamayālankāra" and Its Purposes.

Here is the abstract of the report:

• The report began with a brief review of the Buddhist Doctrine, together with an analysis of the sources of Abhisamayālankāra (Prajñāpāramita Sūtras) and the genre of the treatise (śāstra).
• She also looked into the composition of the text was scrutinized as well as its function within the system of the monastic education.
• She concluded with observations on the work of predecessors who studied the text such as Acad. Th. Stcherbarsky, Dr E. Obermiller, and Dr E. Conze was outlined.
